my father which was a MP in the army aircorp in ww2 told me this story in 1984. he died two years later. he said he saw a small box which was held by a tall thin man dressed in a black suit. this box would stop the engine on any car, truck or plane just by pointing the box at it and pressing a button. as long as the button was pressed the engine would not run this did not make any diffence if the engine ran with a magneto or with batteries ignition if you could see it, it would stop. I asked him were this took place at? and he said he could not tell me. he only said it was in the states. this narrowed it down a little since he was in Bakersfield Ca from spring of 42 to the fall of 44.
