Throughout our lives we encounter strangers who touch our lives in many ways. These brief and random meetings can leave us with an array of emotions which are embedded in our memory ...never to be forgotten.
About 12 years ago I had an encounter with an unusual 'human' in my workplace. I was standing at the register checking out a customer and felt someone was staring at me. I looked up and about 6 feet behind the customer I was waiting on was a young gentleman just standing there with a smile on his face and he was watching me. I was in awe at his appearance...his hair was very blond...nearly white...curly... and it's texture seemed like if you touched it would feel like a baby's fine, soft hair.
His face literally glowed...an expression of peace beyond human comprehension. At some point after I finished waiting on my current customer. this blond haired stranged asked me.."Are you married?" I replied: "Yes." He asked: "Are you happy?"
I just looked at him wondering why he was asking me these questions and then I answered..."Yes...very happy." He just had this beautiful smile during this conversation and yet I had the feeling I was being tested in some way.Hebrews 13:1-2
"Let brotherly love continue.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares".Now...this scripture is EXACTLY what I thought the moment I saw his face...or at least his appearance gave me the feeling an angelic being was in my presense. Perhaps his being there was to remind that love endures all...that in relationships there is laughter , tears, hardships, good times, etc. and that the strenght of that relationship is two fold. I say this because this is what I was thinking when he asked the question. Since that day there have been hard and scarey times and when I think about this stanger a sense of peace helped me through many hardships.
So the question is...was he an angel? I believe he was in every way!
