 The Kevin Smith Show was founded in 2000 when Kevin was serving in Kosovo as an International Police officer. He started it in his off duty time during a blizzard. The blizzard lasted for days, and the resulting sub-zero temperatures lasted for weeks. There was no electricity, and so there was no radio or television.
"I was bored stiff, and freezing stiffer," he says. Kevin charged his laptop computer at work where there were generators. When he got off duty each day, he would use his laptop computer at home to create talk shows by candlelight just to have something to occupy his time. The show simply grew from there. Kevin put the show on the internet and began broadcasting to the world. To his complete surprise, people began sending e-mail saying they loved the show. Kevin simply continued broadcasting through the years, and the audience continued to grow. The show has originated from Kosovo, Macedonia, Austria, Romania, Italy, Bali, East Timor, Thailand, Australia, and a few other exotic locations. It now originates from Phoenix, Arizona (USA). |
